Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural disasters for over 45 years, focuses on the human suffering suffered by people who live in these places. Curry has covered the conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. When she was 22, she was the first journalist female at that station. Then, she stepped onto becoming an anchor and reporter at KGW KGW, which was an NBC affiliate station in Portland. She moved back in Los Angeles four years later working as a journalist at KCBS TV. She was awarded 2 Emmy Awards during the six years with the station.
